Alicia Muir is a classically trained artist, educator of the visual arts, and photographer based in upstate New York.

Following her studies of Studio Art, Psychology, and Museum Education at Connecticut College, she has continued on to exhibit, curate, and conserve art throughout Northeast Ohio, the East Coast and central Italy.  

In addition to being an independent artist, Muir is a dedicated educator and mentor. Her career in art education launched in 2019 when she joined Teach for America - Greater Cleveland and became a founding K-8th art teacher. Muir now has extensive experience teaching and advising youth in both academic and social emotional settings. It is her fundamental belief that all children should have access to an education in the arts.

Muir’s current work has developed into an exploration of mindfulness, connection, and the human experience. This often results in playful and bold illustrations, reminiscent of childhood and her roles as a caregiver and educator.
